Dave, that's excellent! Congrats on the balcony.

I just looked at the Christmas cruise, which starts 12/24, and I see there is still some availability, but it's mighty expensive. Should be a fun way to celebrate Christmas, though, and I bet the decorations will be awesome.

Hi Sandy. We got off the Enchantment the day before Christmas. The ship was beautifully decorated with decorations. It would of been nice to still of been on the ship on Christmas day. Go for it!!! Lil' Lori

Hi Lori,

We're going on the Enchantment in January 2007, but I think the decor will have changed by then. It'll be the first time to sail the Enchantment since the biiiiig streeeetch!

Dave,

So happy you made it to the balcony. It's so nice having that cup of coffee outside versus looking out.

Congrats

Snorkel Mich,

I have had exactly 4 non-balcony cabins in my cruising life. Everything else has been some sort of balconied cabin. Like you say - sitting out there in the early morning having coffee is so relaxing.

Now I hear RCCL has opened up a balcony guarantee option for the June 4 Freedom cruise. $1799 per person! For perspective, in January when I booked this cruise it was over $2400 per person for an assigned balcony. The third person remains at $1097 for any category.

Dave, when I looked at the June 4 sailing today, I saw the balcony guarantee at $1696 per person, and an inside guarantee at $1096!

Hi All,
booked on the Feb 18 departure. This ship is so sold out we had to get 2 inside cabins to fit a total of 4 people. Alot different than the grand suite we had on the Rhapsody this February. Hoping some rooms will open up in December when final payment is due and maybe a price drop. Cost me $5700 for 4, wouldnt be so bad if I could open a door to a balcony.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat, David4.

All the excitement about the Freedom is reaching a feverish pace. Believe it or not, there were still vacant cabins on the inaugural cruise as of a couple days ago. I wouldn't wait to check on any price drops for the 2nd cruise. Do it now.
