When you get to the pier. They don't send them, they have a hoard of porters at the pier to make 'em and tag 'em and take care of your luggage when you arrive. Remember it's customary to provide at least $1. per bag tip to the porter that assists you.
cousins, don't worry about it. As Neil says, when you get to the pier if your bags don't have tags they will get them for you. On our cruise last week we didn't have tags. The porter got them for us in seconds and helped us fill them out and attach them. We got all of our bags by 3pm.
But doesn't it depend how you're getting back to determine the color of the tags you get? (I'm trying to pull from my memory 7 years back.)
We need to get off in the morning as soon as possible. Our flight LEAVES Newark at 1:10 pm.
Different tags for embarkation and debarkation. Debark tags are based on when your flight leaves. Um, you say your "flight LEAVES Newark at 1:10pm." Please tell me you mean it leaves FOR Newark at 1:10pm after your cruise is done.
You will get a different tag at the end of the cruise according to your flight time....Or on most ships now, you can use Express Departure and carry your own bags off (and you must be able to do it yourself...you won't get any help. We use the express departure most of the time now. Happy sailing...
We plan on carrying our luggage off the ship asap to catch a cab from the Bayonne Pier/Port to the Newark NJ airport. Our flight leaves at 1:10 pm and RCCL told us that that we were fine with these flight times.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, as Royal Caribbean is very good at the boarding/departing aspects of the cruise. Everything should work out as it should and things will go smoothly.
