We will be staying in FLL for a day before, will we be allowed to bring bottled water on board. I know some of the lines allow a bottle of wine for consumption in our cabin, but it seems RCCL policy is very strict about NO ALCOHOL. Cruise chat friends, what are your experiences ??

Thanks Sonny the wine and cheese spread was ordered a month ago.... ....but I noticed on some other cruise lines they allow ONE bottle of wine per pax, for personal consumption. I did a gift registry and sent it to some friends...LOL...no gift wrap needed. I am really most concerned about water for Mom. I wrote C & A, still waiting on a response. I will let you know.

Water shouldn't be a problem. I've seen people bring a bottle of water in from ports. Also, you can fill a bottle when on the ship. There is water in the Windjammer and at the pool area. The water from your tap in the bathroom is filtered and safe to drink. I know of some people that had their favorite wine packed in there luggage. I don't know why it wasn't confiscated, maybe they aren't as strict with wine.
Guests shall are not allowed to bring food, non alcoholic beverages, or alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports of call or from the shops on board shall be stored by the ship and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of the sailing. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage, etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol.
Thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International.

OK...non alcoholic beverages cannot be brought on board for consumption, but water and soda bottles will be inspected and disposed of if they contain alcohol. If they contain water and soda, I get to keep them and board WITH THEM ?
GRRRRRR....
