Does anyone know the ealiest time the let you board the ship if it is leaving at 5pm. This is the Explora out of Bayonne 6/06. Thank You for your responses.
I would plan on arriving at the ship at around 11 to 11:30. The cruise line will do everything possible to board early arrivers to reduce the line when the main group arrives to board. I have been on many cruises where I have boarded by noon and had the afternoon to relax while other stressed out over the process.
Remember to pack your first evenings wear and also a bathing suit so that you can be sitting in the Jaccuzi enjoying life during the process.
Noon is a good time to board. So as Tom said, you have the afternoon for your first visit of the ship and enjoying the amenities, like the buffet or the pool.
Sometimes your luggage is very early in the stateroom, but some people have to wait for it and got it when they had their first dinner on board.
SRT - we will be on this cruise as well! My goal (despite the reluctant husband) is to be there by noon at the latest so that we can be "first" through (or quickly through) and get on board as early as possible.
