Thank you for all the wonderful advice so far. I have one more question; when do you find out your dining rotation? I also read somewhere you can get a sneek look of the menus in order to help plan booking one of the optional restaurants. We were interested in booking one of the optional restaruants, but would hate to miss lobser night that I have heard great things about. Also, do you have to wait to be on ship to book one of these extra restaurants? Any advice here?

Your dining time and table assignment will be imprinted on your Seapass card which you receive at embarkation. But, your dining time is also listed on the pre-boarding registration form that you are asked to complete online. You must wait until you board to make reservations at the specialty restaurants. They will be open for reservations when you board and they will be able to tell which night will be lobster night. It used to always be the second formal night, but on my last 5 or 6 RC cruises lobster night was scheduled the day before the second formal night.
