SOS last 4 day cruise

Just returned from the last 4 day cruise on the Sovereign. Cruise great like always. Received a nice certificate from the ship for being on the last four day cruise and a large tote bag. That was a good surprise. Didn't even know we were on the last 4 day cruise till we got on board. The only bad thing on the cruise was the service in the Windjammer. It was really hard to find someone to get a soda from and know one ever asked us if we wanted any drinks. We did not pull into Coco Cay because of the weather but went into Nassua for two days instead

In September we noticed the same thing on the Radiance, the Windjammer had fewer staff. I guess it is a result of the economic times we are facing now.

Welcome back Bill, sorry you didn't get to go to CocoCay. Also, sorry to hear about the Windjammer. Salty45 might be right, they may be cutting back on staff. It's nice to hear that they gave y'all some goodies for being on their last 4 day. Did you book another one on board? I know it's hard to get back to the grind, but having another cruise to look forward to sure helps me survive. Best wishes!

Probably as contracts expired they didn't renew them or backfill the positions. More than one crew member told me they were not staying on the SOS when it moved to Europe.

The wife is going to take advantage of the platinum level right away. She leaves in 20 days for another cruise with oldest daughter and two grand kids. Didn't book another cruise yet. We are looking into a cruise with all the kids and grandkids late next year.

All of the crew we talked to were transferring somewhere else so I think some of them were already thinking about there next job. We still had a great time though.
