Seapass Card

I'm one of four moms who will be chaperoning a group of 10 girls (17 & 18yr olds). I understand a credit card is needed at embarkation to cover expenses charged to your Seapass. Can each individual girl provide a credit card for their Seapass or are charges billed as one grand total per room? I'd like each girl to be responsible for her own Seapass payment. The thought of having to figure out who's responsible for which charges is not how I'd like to end the cruise!

Also how do we prepay the tips? At embarkation or through the travel agent?

Sue, each passenger in each room can provide her own credit card at check-in. Makes things a lot easier! Gratuities can be pre-paid. Just tell your travel agent and s/he will make the payments to the cruise line.

Hi Sue,
First of all, each of the girls can have a separate account using their own cc card. Just make sure that when they check-in at the port that they let the agent know this and provide both cc's.

As for pre-paying gratuities, that can be done pre-cruise through your travel agent OR once you get on board. You usually have until the day before the last day of the cruise to pre-pay gratuities at the customer service desk (your Daily Compass will have details).

I think the one word of advice that I would give a chaperone is to stress that they use a "buddy system". Let them know how important it is to not go off on their own in port (or onboard from the disco, etc.) A friend should be aware of their whereabouts at all times.
