Hi Everyone! I just wanted to share something wonderful that happened to me today. I booked a cruise on the Adventure of the Seas leaving May 6th. We will be staying in a grand suite. Anyway I was just checking on things today and I realized they had just reduced that cruise tremendously. I didn't think I had a chance but I called Travelocity anyway. They called Royal Caribbean and I was given the discount of a little more than 1500.00 off of my cruise. It never hurts to ask. Have a great day http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Hey cruz'n gal! That's awesome! How did you find out that they reduced the price of your cruise?
|
Hi Avenger, just on a fluke i decided to see what the going rate for the cruise was. (On Travelocity) Happy cruising.

WOW! Good deal!!!

So, here's the deal. I booked directly with RCCL. I constantly check rates on travel agency websites as well as RCCL. The rates for a JS came way down for residents of our state (Ga.). We upgraded. The cruise is on Feb. 24 so our final payment was made quite awhile ago. Yesterday the JS came down another $50 per person for Seniors (age 55+). Unfortunately (or fortunately) I fit the category. Called RCCL and they immediately credited my card! So it pays to check all websites. Some discounts can only be done through agencies, however it is free to ask. Always check your state and if 55+ your age. Pays to be old sometimes.

We cruised at christmas on MSC and discovered that the cruise was offered at three quarters the price we paid, would it be to late for us to ask for a refund of the difference

It sure can't hurt to try.
But I think we both know what the answer will be. |
Ok thanks
