I have not sailed in those specific cabins but have been on deck 8. They look to have substantailly larger balconies while the cabin itself is identicle to the other cabins. They appear to be the best choice.
We're looking forward to finding out what the difference is. We're in 9318 on the April 17th sailing of the Mariner. Once we get back I'll be sure to post a report.

Our cruise on the Mariner was wonderful and our "hump" junior suite was very spacious and comfortable. I took pictures, but have been having trouble downloading them to my computer. So, the memory chip is at Ritz Camera today and they are making prints and burning a CD. Should be able to post pictures of the cabin tonight.

Our focus has now shifted to our next cruise - September 2nd on the Grandeur of the Seas out of Baltimore to Cozumel. Anyone have any recommendations for excursions in Cozumel for two guys who aren't really into snorkeling or poking around ruins?
Just grab a taxi to Mr. Santos beach. They have shopping, a cantina, nicebeach and all the stuff to rent if you're into jet-ski's, 4 wheelers, para-sailing, etc.
