Read this story from Paul Motter if you are going on the Oasis Of The Seas. It sounds as though you might be wise to book the shows on-line or risk being disappointed once you board the ship.

I actually think this is a good thing. You won't have to rush to the shows or feel like you have to get there too early to get a seat. I don't have reservations on the Oasis yet but can't wait until I do.

Cool. Hopefully one day not too far off I'll sail on Oasis or a ship like her.

I wonder if RCI will have more than two shows if the theater only seats approx 1800 or so per show? Wouldn't want to miss out on the best on board entertainment?

According the the report the featured show will be presented 5 times during the cruise.

Note that while you have a reservation it isn't for a specific seat or seats. You'll still have to get there early enough if you are with a group wanting to sit together.

There is a drawback to this though, and that is it diminishes the spontaneity many of us like. I often don't know what I will be doing on a cruise and make entertainment choices on the spur of the moment sometimes. That could be a problem on the Oasis.

I noticed that. You will have to get there probably quite a bit earlier than showtime to allow for check-in and getting a decent seat.

Wow I am glad I checked in I didn't know this. It has been a very long time since I have been on line. I see a lot of new names. Well again it is good to know this info because I am cruising the Big Ship in October 2010.

My daughter and son-in-law just did an all inclusive resort for honeymoon. They didn't like the "structure" of the cruise. I didn't get it--but now needing to make advance decisions about the entertainment--I am seeing they are having a point.
