Will my last cruise be on a Princess ship?

Most of you know my last 34 cruises have been on a Royal Caribbean ship. I have never been on a Princess ship as of yet. My travel agent sent me a link that has me thinking about my very last cruise. Why? check it out for yourself... CLICK HERE

Cute story, Sunny...and it might work until you were three days out and needed more emergency medical care that the ship's physician can provide.

Even if you bought medical evacuation insurance, the boat has got to get close enough to a port to catch a plane - or at least close enough for a helicopter (do the ship's have helipads?).

The delay in getting to a hospital could be the difference between life and death.

On the other hand, there can be worse ways to go than sailing the 7 seas and doing what you love to do

SonnyV I myself thought that was a great way to spend retirement I mean why not see the world instead looking at four walls in a home, nice story.

They have some stories of actual people that have done this and they give both the pros and cons.

It really is an interesting concept - if for you the pros outweigh the cons.

If and when I ever get too feeble to take care of myself on a cruise ship I'll have someone throw me overboard. My mother will be celebrating her 105th birthday on June 18th. She still can take care of herself. The only problem is she doesn't know where she is.

Reminds me of the golfer who needed a caddy one day, but the only one available was 100 years old. GOlfer said, "Are you sure you can see where the ball lands?" Caddy says, "My eyesight is perfect!" So the golfer tees off, and says to the caddy, "Did you see where it went?" Caddy says, "Of course, I told you my eyesight is perfect." Golfer says, "Where did it land?"
