I tend to be a light sleeper, does the ship seem noisy with party go-ers in the sleeping areas or does it tend to be more confined to other parts of the ship? Are there any regulations for passengers to follow regarding noise? I will be on Liberty leaving July 4th.
Generally I find the halls quiet at night. Occasionally you might hear someone being a little loud after some late night partying. Occasionally there might be some kids running. Overall I think my cruises have been pretty quiet in the halls at night. If you would happen to have an incident where people are being too noisy for any length of time I would try politely asking them to tone it down. If that doesn't work then call the Purser's desk and report it.
I've never had a major problem with noise...Usually I'm so worn out from having such a good time, that I just zonk out...There will be a few distractions, but never enough for me, that I couldn't sleep well....Plus the gentle rocking of the ship will put in in La La Land quickly...Happy Sailing...
I will be sound asleep on a ship tomorrow night:-)
My husband is phobic about noise. The only time we notice it is if the balcony door is open and someone is noisy on their balcony. We had a baby next to us who screamed for three days straight I am guessing. We could hear him outside his room door in the hallway--through the walls of the room we could hear nothing. The only time we have been bothered by "noise" is our very happy and joyful room steward from Jamaica sang Tom Jones standards in the hallway near his cart (loudly, but quite well) early in the morning as he was setting to work. Hard to be too grumpy about someone having such a good day.
