Call your TA they can help you I spoke to my TA about 20 minutes ago and she said because of this deal it is taking about 40 minutes to get through but you can talk to your TA about getting you this hook up.....

I called them and booked two D1 cabins on Independence of the seas for March 21 2009 and i was finished with the whole process but then she told me that i was not eligible for the offer because she said that Independence of the seas is a celebrity ship not royal carribean. I thought that half of the deposit and credit onboard applied to every royal carribean ship. So in the end i had to cancel and she sounded upset and said that i should have told her in the first place that i wanted the offer. Is she right about that when she said that this ship is not a royal carribean ship?

What??? The Independence Of The Seas is the third ship in the Freedom class, and is a Royal Caribbean ship not a Celebrity vessel. This was a booking agent with Royal Caribbean that you spoke to? Incredible.

That is for an open booking. Chances are the suite vacancies will be gone after today for the particular cruise I want, so I can't wait.

It's already too late. The GS and OS suites are sold out for the cruise I wanted. They went this morning.

Dave, yes i was talking to the royal carribean people and thats what she told me. This is celebrity ship not royal carribean and i called a travel agent and they said yes i would get the offer, so should i call back and talk to somebody else or should i book with the travel agent?

Thank you dave, but i have one more question. I would like to know if i have to pay any fees for the cruise if im using a travel agent and do i need to find a special agent for cruises or do all of the agents do the same thing.

Call a cruise specialist agent if possible. You are not going to pay any more using an agent than you will by booking directly with the cruise line. For today's deals (and for most bookings - but not all Neil!) the price offered by RCCL directly will be the same as any agency can get the cruise for. Remember, an agent is an advocate. The person on the other end of the phone at RCCL is an RCCL employee - but they work for commissions just like a "real" travel agent.

No matter who you book with, all you should pay today is a deposit - and on today that deposit is supposed to be 50% less than normal.
