We are two 40s singles looking to take an RCL cruise either the week of Thanksgiving or the week afterward. We have never sailed on RCL before. My friend had an experience on a Carnival Cruise over Thanksgiving week where the entire ship was families and kids, which we want to avoid. Does anybody know if there is an overabundance of families on RCL's cruises during the holidays? We like the Thanksgiving week itinerary better, but don't want to be completely surrounded by families.
You'll find many families on Royal Caribbean during Thanksgiving too. This will hold true for all mainstream cruise lines during major holidays when schools have vacation days.
You would find fewer families on upscale cruise lines.
