hello,

that is great news! call your ta asap monday. i would think you are entitled to a refund or at least an onboard ship credit. 800.00 onboard credit would be my choice!

Joe call your TA and ask them to call Royal and ask for either a refund or an on board credit. There is a good possibility you can get it, it does depend on your TA, since this sailing is in a weeek, by adjusting the price your TA will have to pay the difference back in their commission...but it never hurts to ask. Did you work with an online agency or with a Cruise Special agent one on one? This will make a difference also. Good luck.

Ok guys

I apologize for not paying attention to these posts earlier (sometimes I just skip around on posts to subjects that are of interest to me). I might have "missed the boat" on this one. Can anyone explain this to me. Are you guys saying that if your room is discounted in price from the price you paid anytime before you sail, you can ask to get the same price as the discount? How do you know if the price of your room has been discounted - are you going by what is on the RC website for your specific room number? I would appreciate any enlightenment.

If you originally booked through an agency, or even Royal Caribbean then just call and ask them to check the price. You can go to a couple of online agencys and check prices then call your agent and ask them to have the price adjusted. As the previous poster stated, they are sailing in a about a week and still got the discount. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are the easiest to work with on this. The other cruiselines usually won't discount after final payment, they might offer an on board credit, but usually do not refund money back.

Hello. I have had 2 refunds from a cruise. One from RCCL, I got over $700 back from the Freedom inaugural cruise. I booked directly with them, I call and politely asked what they could do for me. I got a immediate refund on my credit card with no hassle. The other refund was with Princess. We booked via a TA, I noticed the price dropped, before she did. She called and got me a check for the difference. Also, I have received refunds twice from US Airways. My flights had dropped in price difference. I called them, and they sent me a voucher for the difference, it is only good for one year. But, it is better then nothing. I just keep checking my fares, if they drop, I call and get my voucher. Hope this helps. Lil' Lori

what i did was on the booklet the gave me it gaves a room class . i went on their website like i was booking. it said the room class i was in was now ahappy hour special. at first i was mad but remembered reading about this on this board. as i said the whole process took a very short time and part was due to rccl not yet being open . originally the wab site said ti went down $800. when i called rccl and the agent they said $700. i am getting a credit for $588. i am figuring taxes fees and maybe travel agent commision. i am not argueing and the people i am going with originaly paid for this about a year ago.i was not originally not going and took over someone elses room because they had to back out. i have not even met the person in our group who paid and she is an experienced cruise and she did not know you could do this.when she receives the refund and i get my money i am sure i will be praised and its all because of you guys. thanks again. joe
