3 day cruise on Majesty. Formal night dress code????

My wife and I are going on our first cruise and we decided on a three day cruise out of Miami on Aug. 8, 03. I have read several post that indicate formal night requires at least a sports jacket. Is this true on a three day cruise.

Yes, there is one formal night on the three day Majesty of the Seas cruise. This is generally the night before you visit CocoCay. Hope this helped.

My husband & I sailed on the Majesty Oct 2002. There was one formal night. It was on the second night. Men were wearing a lot of different things. Tuxes, suites, shirt & tie, and even Dockers & a Polo shirt. Have a good time!

we went on a cruise in june 2003, and you have to dress up really nice on formal night. They take alot of pictures. i wore a sports coat and a tie and slacks. that is what most men were, or you can rent a tux for about 100.00. but i dont think that is worth it. well enjoy and if you want read my review.
