Ice Rink on Explorer

Can the passengers skate on the rink during the day? If so, how about pucks, nets, and sticks-how 'bout a little hockey?

They must have gasped when it was decided to put in an ice rink and rock climbing wall--and now ice hockey?

Personally I think it's a great idea!

OK, I admit it...the hockey question was a stupid question. You'd probably have to have a ship dentist if you allowed passengers to play hockey. But can passengers skate on the rink (no sticks, pucks, or nets)? I can do a triple lutz and a sowcow(sp?).

I think I read in a post somewhere that passengers can skate; and they have skates for rent (naturally).

Yes, there are certain times of the day you can skate. Skating is in half hour intervals.

Regarding giving the Risk Managers a collective heart attack: I played a couple of times in onboard pick up basketball games on Radiance a few years ago; it was equally as rough as any hockey game in which I ever played... lots of post-game jacuzzi time (supplemented with a hearty cabernet).
