Portofino or chops

Hi guys,

Im thinking ahead like the rest of you and am going to book a speciality restaurant for our cruise in early october, Its on Liberty of the Seas, I have been on voyager previously but never ordered from the portofino, can anyone recommend which one would be better? If someone can give me a rough idea of what the menus would be likely to be like in both restaurants I would appreciate it,

also would the weather be good for western caribbean on 4th of october?

It depends on your tastes- Chops is a very fine steak house restaurant - steak, pork, lobster, lamb etc..

Portifinos is an Italian cuisine fine dinning.

Personally, if I am going to pay extra on a cruise ship its going to be for a great steak, but you can decide for yourself.

Weather in October should be good. You chances of running into a storm have lessened by then. (Though its still possible)

The weather should be perfect baring a hurricane. Portofinos-Italian flair, Chops-Grilled specialties. Have a great time!

If you go to Royal Caribbeans home page and go to Specialty Restaurants then to Frequently Asked Questions they have menus for both Chops and Portifino.

ive never been to portofinos, but have a reservation for my upcoming cruise

so i looked at the menu, and to be honest, it looks good, but doesnt seem all that much better than the main seating

ive heard people rave about the experience, which is why i made the reservation, but could someone fill me into why it is so much better?

i am able to understand why chops is better - good steaks make a difference

i prefer chops myself, this is a must if your a steak eater as they only have 1 steak option in portofino.both fantastic restaurants well worth the $20 surcharge.
