I am going to be leaving on my first cruise on the 28th of August. It's a 5 night to the Keys, Cozumel, and Cococay on the Enchantment of the Seas and am wondering if anyone has any last minute advice? Things I should make sure to pack? Things that I should definitly do in those ports? Any help would be great! Thanks!
If you like key lime pie, go to the Blond Giraffe. It's off of main street about a block down the road. One of the best key lime pies I've tasted. If you're in to snorkeling, Xel-ha and Chanakaab (sp?) Park are great. Xel-ha is wonderful for water sports. The Tulhum ruins are extremely interesting as well (Cozumel). Coco Cay is their private island, so enjoy the beach and lunch. Bring plenty of smiles, sunscreen, sunglasses, your camera, extra batteries for your camera, film/memory cards. Take a deep breath, relax and have a wonderful cruise!!
best tip I can offer is to relax and do what YOU think would be fun. There will be a zillion activities going on at once. YOU CAN NOT DO IT ALL. If you try you willdrive yourself nuts. Go have fun and relax. Don't do excursions just for the sake of doing them, go on those that are something you want to see or do.

This is a great website for cruisers. You can go to the link below and scroll down. There is print off lists for stuff you need to pack and a list for what to pack in your carry on bags. One idea I liked is the 2 way radios, to find your spouse/children!
bring a glade plug in for the cabin, keep a bag with you when you board the cruise that contains a bathing suit & sundries, along with clothing & toiletries for dinner that evening.
sometimes your bags dont make it to the room in time. hit a bar and purchase a softdrink card for all you can drink soda.

I have a list of things & tips. If you give me your email I'll send to you. smithmyra@hotmail.com
So many of these tips are the same as I would offer but in addition... Remember to take an underwater camera, especially for Coco Cay. Even if you don't plan on snorkeling, they're great b/c you don't have to worry about dropping them in the water. Also, be prepared for tipping. Tipping Guidelines are provided on the last evening.. they usually run $40/person.. that amount covers Waiter, Asst Waiter, Matre d', and Stateroom Attendant. Finally, pay close attention to what you are paying for a shore excursion. If it seems like it's too much, it probably is. Many of the locals will be waiting when you get off the ship to offer you the same adventures at much lower rates. Have an awesome time! I leave for the Bahamas again in December, and as always... I can't wait!
You mention you are going on a 5nt cruise, so the recommended tipping is $50 per person. The recommended tipping is $10 a night so 3nt-$30, 4nt-$40, 5nt-$50, 7nt-$70.
