Premium Restaurants

Can reservations at the premium restaurants, such as Chops Grill, be made in advance of sailing, or does that take place once you are on ship?

Hello. We were on the Enchantment of the Seas in Dec. There is a Chops Grille on her. I went to the Chops Grill a few hours after boarding, and it was closed. I went back when it was opened, and booked to dine there that night. The hostess said the first night is the least busiest, and people aren't as dressed up as much, since some people don't have there luggage yet. The fee was $20 a person. We are steak lovers, and thought the $ was worth it. Althought, we ended up spending $90 something dollars after wine. The meal was intimate, and tasted wonderful. I am under the impression you can only book when on board, so go there as soon as it opens on the first night. Good luck. Lil' Lori Bye the way, welcome to cruise-chat.

L'il Lori is correct. At this time, you cannot make advance reservations at the specialty restaurants before sailing.

You may want to look at the menu for the week for your dinner table and book Chops or Portofino's the night that doesn't appeal to you.

We were on Mariner in March and had been advised to book right away, so we phoned Chops as soon as we got into our stateroom.

There were a lot of families the week that we sailed, and Chops had tables available almost every night. So if you decided to try Chops on Friday night, chances were good that you could get a reservation on Friday or Saturday nights.

Our dinner was well worth the extra $20. We like Ruth's Chris, and my filet was that good.

reservations can be made after boarding-provided the restaurant is open-Chops Grille is better than even the best midwest beef places!Absolutely the best extra on the ship!
