I would love to have a balcony room but the whole "tight budget thing" seems to be a big factor. I did get an oceanview on deck 8 with only 20% blocked view so I'm happy. I was wondering if the balcony room price ever drops below $300 for a 4 night cruise. I'm still watching the price but I don't know if they will decrease the balcony price enough that I could afford it... LOL What's the cheapest Balcony Room?

Boo,
That is a very difficult question to answer. It will all depend on supply and demand and how well the ship is selling for that particular date.

Never seen a balcony anywhere near $300.00.

I just looked....it's the superior oceanview that's 299. Well I'm learning about RRC this is my first cruise. I've been on Carnival before so I'm very intested to see the differences between the two cruise lines. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...n_rolleyes.gif

The Monarch wouldn't be a fair comparison seeing that it's one of RCCL's oldest ships.

Nor is it fair to compare RCI Voyager or Freedom class ships to any other since they are apples to oranges. The age, size, and amenities on a ship shouldn't be the only determining factor.

Quality of service, food, and main entertainment are areas that shouldn't waiver
regarless of the age or size of the ship.
