If that's the Sovereign of the Seas (as opposed to the Splendour or the Serenade), you will be handing your baggage off to the local crew in the parking lot area as you leave your cab, car, or bus. You will take your carry on luggage with you into the building, go through security, and then go up escalators to the check in area.

Bon Voyage!

Hey Cruiser4fun,

We will be right behind you on the 14th on the SOS. It will be our third sailing on her in the last year. I think you will be impressed with the renovations. Don't forget to play the "Quest" game. Its hilarious. Good luck. The port is easy to find, and they will direct you as to where to go once you get there. If you are looking for a hotle the night before, we stayed @ the LaQuinta in Cocoa Beach. Its about a 10 minute drive from the terminal. Very nice hotel with a huge pool, and its right across the street from the beach.

I just had clients stay at that hotel this summer the night before boarding Mariner of the Seas in Port Canaveral. They were very pleased with the hotel and the shuttle service. They signed up for the 11:30am shuttle, and got to the lobby area early (there were 6 of them, as well). The earlier shuttle had empty space on it, and the driver came into the lobby and asked if they wanted to leave then, on the shuttle that was about to depart. The shuttle was a van, which pulled behind it a trailer filled with everyone's luggage. They got to the port in plenty of time.
