I'll stay away from the math. I get paid to do that.
I agree with Cruise Fanatic. They are adding more on board type charges, and they are taking away things that use to be included. This is so they can have a lower price point for advertising purposes.
Cruising is still the best overall value though IMO. If someone wants to add transportation costs to visit multiple ports and countries in the land based scenario the numbers will dramatically change.
I guess you can tell I'm not a big fan of the nickel and diming, and ala carte mentality. Yet, it is still the most bang for the buck way to vacation.
Anyone remember when the wine and cheese tasting was free? Those were the days.
