is portofinos really worth it?

is it really worth paying extra to eat in the portofinos restaurant on the voyager of the seas?...whats so special about it...

Yes Portofino and Chops are well worth the $20.00 pp price. Not only is the food better, the service is better too. Your dinner is prepared "a la minute" not mass prepared like in the dining room.

The service is better, and the food is definitely better - more like a restaurant and less like the dining room food that was prepared for 2,000 other guests. We like the specialty restaurants on the last night of the cruise.

The question is do you like and pay for fine dining when you are NOT cruising ? If you do, then no question, the money is well worth it. If you don't enjoy fine dining or don't like paying for it....you will enjoy the food prepared elsewhere on the ship. Chops and Portofino's is NOT for everyone, amke the decision on what YOU like.

i do like fine dining, but i feel you still get that in the dining room anyway, the food is very good as well!...how much can a waiter do for you??
i will try portofinos, maybe on the last night.
