staying on the ship during Nassau day

We have decided not to go into Nassau while the Majesty is in port there. How much is there to do on the ship when most everyone else is in port?

Patty, the ship will have a schedule of activities while it's in port. The public rooms will all be open, dining rooms open, etc. Staying onboard during a port day is delightful as the ship is quiet and uncrowded. In fact, I'm going on the Sovereign this weekend and also plan to stay on the ship during our Nassau day. Been there, done that several times and I prefer a quiet ship day!

I agree with Sandy.
If I happen to be on a cruise that stops in Nassau, I stay on board, enjoy the ship and hope everyone else goes ashore.

Staying on the ship isn't a bad idea in Nassau. Sometimes we walk over to the beach next to the Atlantis resort and spend a couple of hours watching the parasailing and enjoying the beach. It seems more and more people are thinging the same thing about just staying on the ship.

At least get off the ship, walk up to the immigration office and get your passport stamped...at least you'll have proof you were there...

We hired a taxi, negotiated a price and got a great personal tour of the town. I think it cost us $30, including tip.

IMHO, the water taxi tour is a waste of money.
