I have done 10 cruises over the last 20 years and the only time I saw barf bags placed out was in very rough seas on a much smaller cruise liner! On the other hand I have observed a much higher incidence of alchohol abuse by underage drinkers!

I did not see the story but we were on Explorer of the Sea for spring break with our boys ages 8 & 9. The ship was full including 900 children. I did not see any inappropriate behavior.I would recommend Explorer of the Sea to anyone. There are a lot of activities, the ship is huge.

I have sailed the Sovereign of the Seas in Huricane Wilma, and that was the only time I ever saw barf bags.

the next time i believe a sensationalized TV story, will be the first. it seems very in vogue to bash the cruise industry now since that ho dumped her husband overboard. right, blame the ship, dont blame the people. rccl probably carries, what, 250,000 people a year, probably more, with rarely an incident. next up, OJ ten years later, a Scott Peterson exclusive and Geraldo from the deck of the dangerous RCCL Voyager......

Chemicalx, I think you have the correct perspective on those TV news "magazines", and many of the cable TV news networks. It's not so much about the news; it's about being the most outrageous to get ratings...Cruiselines are a favorite whipping boy, especially since the George Smith debacle. The news magazines are never hesitant to create some news on a slow day...
