Hi. I am going on my very first cruise with Royal Caribbean in June on EOS. I have cruised on Carnival many times in the past.

The Carnival cruise director usually has something called "Excursion Talks" where he/she discusses the best things to do at any given port as well as any other important information such as safety concerns.

My question is does Royal Caribbean have anything like this on their cruises?

Oh yes. This is not the exclusive property of Carnival. All the lines do it, and all of them are pretty much exactly alike. I hope you understand that a large part of the talk is merely sales pitches for the shops which have contracts with the cruise line.
