Does anyone know the protocol for a price drop? My cruise dropped $300 per person. So that is $600 for the two of us. There are still rooms available in my room type. Has anyone had this happen? Will RC do anything for it?

You can call RCL and ask for a price adjustment...unless you have already paid in full. In that case, they will not adjust the price. I'm not sure if Royal Caribbean will do this, but when I have booked with other on-line sites, I have gotten an adjustment.

Good Luck!

My husband and I have had our price adjusted twice for a total of $1000.00 for a party of four. We booked directly through Royal Caribbean. Both times my husband called and they happily refunded the difference.

Royal Caribbean is one of the cruise lines that will refund the difference if the price has gone down, even up until sailing date on many occasions. Call your travel agent or the cruise line immediately, before the price goes up again.

Yes, Sandy is right, but you have to act when you see a price drop. The price could go back up when the categories are filled.

I'm not sure if I need to start a new post for this question or not but, where do you see if the price drops. Do you just go to the Royal Caribbean site and go through like you are going to book to see what the price is for your stateroom category?

Just go to the RCL site and check the month, year, and ship. You'll be able to see the prices. I booked my Feb 2010 while on the ship last week and when I checked the price today it was $200 per person higher. Seems it goes both ways.

I had a price drop done to me before on my last cruise last november aboard the carnival splendor. I just called carnival and alerted them to the price drop and told them the amount i paid and asked if there was a credit i could receive and they upgraded me to a ocean view room from a interior room and we were very much satisfied.
