Has anyone heard any new information about the Freedom of the Seas? I am considering a cruise on her, but don't want to actually book until I have more details about just what this ship will offer (besides just being the largest ship afloat).

You are right - Royal Caribbean isn't revealing too many details about their new ship, but from everything that has been released, it appears that it will be a larger version of the Voyager Class. There will be an ice-skating rink, rock-climbing wall, expanded sports deck, etc. etc. It will be totally wired wi-fi and have flat screen TV's in the staterooms. I am sort of in agreement with you, however. I think I would wait to book a cruise on her, after I get a full picture of the product.

When we were on the Mariner of the Seas the week before last, the captain told everyone that the Freedom of the Seas was going to be basically identical to the Mariner, except 100 feet longer.

Thanks Adam, That's about what I heard when I was on the Explorer a few weeks ago. Of course, the Captain also added that there may be just a couple of surprises.

Thanks everyone - I guess I will wait until the ship actually sets sail so I can get first hand reports before booking.

My sentiments exactly. Although I am anxious to see what she is all about - I would wait until she is actually launched.

I'd be interested to see what could actually be added as a surprise that someone has not already thought of yet. Cruising has come a long way in 10 years since the first time we went.

EnjoyLife,
Check out my 2 new threads about what the Freedom will offer in the way of family staterooms and new innovations. Maybe it is now time for us to consider booking a cruise.
