Be aware that the Deck 6 balconies on Voyager Class ships have a steel lower section. Below the railing you can't see out. I'd look for cabins on deck 7 and above as they have view above and below your balcony railing.
Hello and welcome to cruise-chat. Please note that the countdown clock has to use BB Code to work. HTML (which you entered) doesn't work. BB Code should be the top of the three code choices at the cruiseclocks website.
Tell your travel agent you want a bump out cabin. I he or she doesn't know what they are, get another travel agent. They are on deck 6 through 10, and center of the ship.
Either a balcony towards the front of the ship or the bump. You will get a great view from these locations and possibly hiogher up on the ship. Less noise and you will be closer to the pool/buffet.

Cheers, Neil
When you say obstructed view, how obstructed and does this include all the balconies on deck 6? my out-laws opps in-laws have just booked a transatlantic cruise this November and no one, including RCI, mentioned this.
i myself just booked a 5 day western carribbean in december on navigator. my travel agent didn't think there would be any obstructions. she even called royal to make sure there wasn't lifeboat views. we booked on the 6th deck in the bumpout. hope we won't be looking a steel beams! anybody booked here before?????
There is no obstructive view. I though I made it clear the structural beams are in at the stern (back) of the ship. What TrvlPro was talking about is the steel wall below the hand railing, which doesn't really block any view as far as I'm concerned. Here is a view from a bump out balcony...
You can see the railing; notice I'm looking over it, not under it. I hope this puts your mind to rest.
