Did anyone still feel really dizzy a few days after leaving the ship? We got back Saturday from Bermuda, I'm still feeling dizzy.???????
I never felt nausea on the boat only dizzy and a slight headache while we were sailing.
It's not uncommon to feel that way for a short while when you hit solid land especially if you had a rocky ride but it should go away after a few hours.
I've experienced it, as well, especially after coming back from a cruise during which the last couple of days were at sea. (Such as a Bermuda cruise, like yours.) It usually lasts about a day or two for me.
Often, when I get off a cruise ship, it feels like the ground is still swaying or moving under me for a couple of days. Something to do with the inner ear getting back its equilibrium, I'm told.
I am feeling this right now. I got off a 15 day cruise on Friday, and never had the slighest problem on this or any other sailing. However, this is the second time this has happened to me. I feel like I am on a very much rocking ship. In fact, I am going to wear my electronic relief band today. Last time I had this, it lasted for about four or five days. Can it be that I am allergic to ending a cruise? LOL
my dr will not give me the patch anymore,he claims they are finding thats it has side effects.i told him that the effects from motion sickness were just as bad....but i need something....he said 2 dramamine work just as well.i am so leary............i will buy every other product that they will sell me-
Okay. Gotcha. I understand. Actually, the first day I used the patch I nearly fell asleep at dinner. Took me a while to get used to it. This was in 2006, so maybe my doctor has stopped prescribing them also.
I swear by the electronic relief band. It is pricey $135 or so, but worth every penny if you cruise a lot and are subject to seasickness. In my earlier post today I mentioned that today I was feeling the "ship rock" in my house now postcruise, and I put the relief band on, turned it to the middle intensity, and I am fine. It is served me well during six cruises. You can go on line and read about it. Just search for seasick relief band if you are interested.
Just out of curiosity, what is everybody paying for the patches? They seem fairly expensive to me but than again I don't need them, but if I did I suppose no price would be to much.
