Inner Tubing White River in Ocho Rios

Can anyone give any info on the inner tubing in Ocho Rios? We're going w/ 17 and 11-year-old, and parents (dad's 72). Wondering if this will be fun for all and not too difficult for dad. Life jackets? Rough, deep water? Thanks for any info.

While I cannot speak directly to tubing in Ocho Rios, I have found the following formula very helpful in determining whether of not to get on an inner tube on any specific river:


E = Dep x (16+current age)
___ _______________
Dia BVDs

Where E = Enjoyment
Dep = Depth of the River
Dia = Diameter of Hole in the Inner Tube
BVDs = Size of my, uh, aft

If the formula results in a negative number I take a bus tour.

we have done the river tubing safari twice in ocho rios. We have had people from 8 to 68 go with us. The guides are great with everyone. We take the latter tour so we can go to margarittaville before(and after )the excursion
