Security is tight at the terminal, but they are not doing routine strip-seaches of men. Think about it for a moment. If that is what they were doing, then if I were planning to smuggle contraband aboard I'd just place it on the women passengers. Now if someone were suspected of having drugs on them, then yes, they are probably given the full treatment. And also, what kind of publicity would that be for a city trying to promote tourism. "Come to Montego Bay and let us do a body cavity search!"
The terminal had two security lanes when I was there in June. One had an x-ray machine and metal detector, just like an airport. The other line didn't and therefore they were manually checking all bags and packages and doing pat-downs of the passengers. No one was stripped and the pat-down was a cursory thing that lasted maybe 5 seconds. One thing I did note is that female officers were patting men down too. We went over to the other line and went through the metal detector.
