Sovereign to retire in 2009?

While on the Sovereign last week, some of the cruise staff mentioned that the Sovereign would be retired when the Genesis comes out. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

she might be retired from the RCI brand, but I'm sure she would find a new operator in a heartbeat. Pullmantur, RCL's Spanish affiliate, would be an obvious option.
