HOW DO YOU HAVE DIBS ON THE ELEVATOR?

You ask, "How does one have dibs on the elevator?" Well, when you have a room on deck 2, you press the up button. The elevator comes, and because you are on the lowest deck, there is no one already on the elevator that is going up, therefore; you have dibs on the elevator. Unless, the people who were going down don't get off and, decide to ride the elevator and stay on it as it goes back up. Have you ever had an elevator come to pick you up, the doors open, and it is so full with people it has already picked up, you decide to wait for the next one? You won't have that problem. The people whos rooms are on the higher decks, will experience more crowded elevators, because it has already made several stops as it makes it way going up. The elevator can be a bit crowded, and frustrating at times. Sometimes, it is quicker to take the stairs. Hope this helps. Lil' Lori

As part of our desire to stay fit, and to justify that extra dessert, my wife and I never, and I mean NEVER use the elevator; even if it means boarding at deck 5 after a long shore excursion and walking up to deck 14 to the buffet.
And yes, we usually make better time than the elevator.

..and of course the air quality is better when you don't have someone breathing down the back of your neck pressing against you as if you are part of the elevator wall.
