IS DECK 2 TOO LOW?

WE ARE GOING TO BE TRAVELING ON ENCHANTMENT FOR THE 6 DAY WESTERN CARIBBEAN ON APRIL 9TH AND i WAS WONDERING WETHER DECK 2 IS TOO LOW.... I HAVE A ROOM TOWARD THE BACK OF THE SHIP.... ONE PASSENGER IN MY GRUOP ASKED IF WAVES MIGHT BE HITTING OUR WINDOW! sOOOO?

IF they waves are hitting your window on deck two, you are in some rough seas. There are crew and utility decks below you so there is at at least one more deck before you get to the water line.

I guess the real question is "to low for what?" Your cabin will be the saem as any others of the same category. Its not like you would be in steerage or something. And if the water was truly an issue, then the ship would have sunk a long time ago.

I agree with Jim that it is unlikely that waves will hit your window. I actually prefer to be lower down as I enjoy watching the water -- and it's still a way down. And one huge advantage is that you get dibs on the elevators!

I guess what I am trying to say is... Is the oceanview even a view and will I get like clotstrophobic from being so low to the water? Does the Western Caribbean normally have calm weather in April 9th-15th)?

I see we were posting at the same time. Yes, it's a great view -- the water is still below you rather than next to you. And, we've cruised often in early-mid April and rarely had rough seas.

"Dibs on the elevator" means that you'll be the first ones on when the elevator is going up.

They are actually called "gangways". The location for the gangway varies from one ship to another, and one port to another.

Actually Chef Ken, "the plank" is for all those people who get caught sneaking alcohol on board....
