In many societies there are cultural signs, or precognitive awarenesses, of a coming apocalypse – or perhaps, (of less drastic hyperbole) events that could lead to unintended cultural shifts of the body politics mores.

I believe I may be witnessing one, and, as a result, will take steps to mitigate any potential issues which could result in less than opportunistic outcomes. As a result I am now faced with the decision as to whether or not to cancel my reservations on the Monarch of the Seas.

As I like to think that I am one with Alan Alda and Helen Reddy, I can assure you that this decision has nothing to do with the fact that RCL has named as Captain of the Monarch the first woman (Karin Janson) to ever take charge of a major cruise ship

Sonny, I think it is kind of cool that RCL led the way in breaking the gender barrier for ship's captain. I thought I would have a little fun with the announcement. Like Seinfeld's TV program, the post was not ment to make sense...obviously, I succeeded

I wonder how many men of better qualifications were passed so they could make their political statement by placing her there??? Maybe she was next in line, it's plausible!
