Hi

I was a little disappointed with the new format in the casinos, that of not using any coins! It didnt feel the same when you won that there were not coins bounding out the bottom! We loved the slots on Voyager and felt the 'cashout' button with the bar coded ticket just wasnt as good, it also would encourage you to spend more I guess.

Does anyone feel like this (not like they are going to change it or anything) just curious thats all!

thanks

The good thing is you don't have to hunt for a cup to put your winnings in, and you don't have to handle dirty money (not that I mind, but it is a little more sanitary). The bad thing is it doesn't feel like you ever win anything.

I also prefer to use coins. I wonder if the Explorer uses the same system? I like to "dabble" with the slots on a cruise! It won't stop me from gambling, but I may not spend as much time in the casino!

oh I dont like 'dirty' money either to be honest, but there was a great buzz when you won!! I didnt spend as much this time in the casino and there were alot of people smoking very few non smoking areas in there, it was very strong in places!

bring back cups and dirty money!!

I think they are changing that in a lot of places not just cruises. I know that many if not all the machines in Atlantic City, NJ print out the voucher instead of coins. I was never really a slot girl I like the table "Let it Ride" particularly.

Also some of the people enjoy just walking around and putting a few coins in one machine and then going to another and doing the same. I agree, bring back the cups and dirty money!

I love dirty money I like playing with coins but it sure is convinient to cash out quick if you need to. I wish they would make machines that you could make a choice of which to play (on the same machine).

I did win $700 dollars on one of those ticket machines on Liberty. We also watched a guy win $83,000 on a machine and 2 nights later won $260,000 on the same machine. They announced that it was a Royal Caribbean record. It was on one of the new video type machines.

On Majesty, they still have lot's of coin machines!
