So, one scale of 1-10, how cool is the Concierge Room? Is it a nice perk, or is it crowded with people all waiting on long lines for the free drinks? What other extras/services are included? Is it in the inside, or are their windows/balconies?
If given the option, how much more would you pay for use of the room/services?
Hi Mike,
The room on the Liberty was really a treat. I had a drink before dinner every night. The room never had more than 6-8 people in it. I had the early dinner seating so I dont know what went on after 7 but even in the mornings the place was like a private club with 6-8 people.

Given the other perks RCI is doing for suite guests, with the reserved seating, private area in the Windjammer, walk-up seating for the ice shows, etc., I'd say it may be worth it.
I wonder if sedan chairs and a private tender/gangway are being considered?
I hope we have a different experience this time. Last time we felt like we didn't belong there. Nothing was set out like we should have served ourselves and the Concierge was chatting with another family for like 30 minutes and then he went off to someone else for 20 minutes. He finally came and we asked for a drink and suggestions on making excursion reservations and he looked stunned and suggested we go to the excursion desk in the morning.
I wasn't impressed and we didn't go back. We have a suite again this time and may try again. I was wondering if he knew who his diamond members were and gave then preferential treatment?

I was in a Grand Suite on the Radiance and my parents regularly travel in Grand Suites. I don't think that the concierge room is all that great. The Concierge is not there all that often for one thing. The only time my family used him was to make reservations for the specialty restaurants and I don't know that that was necessary.
I have found the concierge room on my 7 night sailings to be quite stuffy. Many times you find the exact same people every night.I do like to go in the morning for coffee as the latte machine makes much better coffee than the windjammer. On the 10 and 14 night cruises we have taken it's a whole nother story. Most times due to the length of the cruise you get more D & D+ members and they move it to the Viking Crown or Ixtapa lounge and provide bartenders and with lots of people you mingle and have a good time so I think it depends on the length of the sailing JMHO
It is a very intimate room. We went in every night on the Freemdom before second seating and our concierge had our drinks ready and waiting for us. And the food foods were great!! I love it and that is why I book a suite everytime. Although I have never had any of the other perks they were talking about.
