I've only been on 16 cruises, all but 2 were in the October-December time frame. We used to go during thanksgiving because we'd only have to use 3 vacation days for a week off. Last year we sailed November 5th for a 2 week cruise, it was the first time we ever ran into more than a 20-30 minute shower. We had rain for 6 days, however, there were 2 hurricanes brewing. Thankfully, we did not have to change our itinerary, we visited all of our ports. We also went ahead with all of our excursions, except Curacoa (because of lightning). Most of our excursions were snorkel/sail trips, so we were already wet. We went on a tour in Trinidad to the Angostura factory in the rain and had a great time. I bought some rain ponchos in Wal-Mart (in the sporting goods department) they were $.84/ea, when folded up they are 4x6x1/2" and weight about 3 ozs. I sure hope last year was our worst year for hurricanes, because we're going October 21 for a 10 day this year. I'm packing our ponchos just in case. As far as bad seas went, we had nothing that I would consider rough. We did have rain, but it really wasn't bad. Hope this helps, there's not much we can do about mother nature--but I hope you will experience sunshine and blue skies. Have a wonderful cruise!!
