Yes there are bad cruises,
actually mine was on the "adventure of the seas" of RCCL.
I had been on 4 cruise (3 on Carnival Destiny and 1 the adventure of the seas). In my point of view cruising is a way of life, maybe you like it or maybe you not but that really depends on the company service too.
Many of my friends had travel over the years with RCCL and they say their services had been changing, Now what usually was free, have a "NOMINAL FEE" and the keep charging for everything that was usually free, like Johnny Rockets.
As I see it Carnival does the same. but they are not as obvius as RCCL, Carnival change their buffets and give you Burritos at midnight during a few nights in order to get a little $$$ extra and for me that's ok I still get to eat a lot during my cruise and enjoy every minute of it...
But RCCL is diferent, in my case, they didn't give us any food option at all they just cancel any food after 9 pm. every night of my cruise just to make extra money I actually lose weight after my cruise
Can you believe that??
that's only one of my complains to the company, and there are few, but I don't want to sound like I will never cruise again, I enjoy cruising.
There are other options, in my case I will not cruise with RCCL for the moment, but I will stay with carnival and Princess until the economy get's better and RCCL get back to basics.
Who knows, maybe in the future they will learn from there errors and get back to what they use to be...
