formal nights on 13 day cruise

Hi

does anyone know how many formal nights there are on a 13 day transatlantic cruise, we are sailing on Independence on Nov 6th from Southampton to Miami and don't want to pack too much as we are travelling on to Vegas before coming back to the UK, also, does anyone know if we hire whether the cost of $85 applies for a longer cruise, the website only says it is higher if it's a b2b cruise.

I don't know for sure, but I just got back from a 12-day RCCL cruise and there were three formal nights, despite the documentation saying there were only two. I'm glad I read the forums before I left so I knew to bring enough dresses!

I think the tux rental includes 3 shirts for the fee. Hopefully, some one on the board will know for sure.

On 13-night cruises, Royal Caribbean suggests 3 formal nights, 2 "smart casual" and 8 casual. Many or most people don't distinguish too much between casual and smart casual. It's either formal, or it isn't!

The only thing they don't like on casual nights are shorts, swim wear or raggy jeans. Any other presentable clothing is ok.
