Luggage Shipment

I have read that some people ship their luggage to and from cruises to keep from messing with a lot of luggage while flying. i know rher are services out there that do it, but its very expensive. You can not ship it straight to the cruise line. Any suggetsions.

Welcome to Cruise-Chat! The only time shipping is common is on world cruises where a lot of luggage will be needed. HAL offers free shipment of the luggage from your home with world cruise itineraries (not for legs, but the full world cruise).

Unless there are unique circumstances like being on a cruise for 100+ days I've never heard of shipping luggage in advance. Maybe someone else has better info on what to do.

Hi James W, welcome to Cruise-Chat. Princess has started a luggage valet service, not sure about the other cruise lines. They will pick you luggage up and take it to the ship, then will send it back to your house. I didn't check into the prices since we were driving. Maybe check with your TA or the cruise line directly, they may have something similar. Best wishes and welcome aboard!
