SERENADE OF THE SEA

We (my husband italian and me austrian)plan to go on the 6th June roundtrip-cruise Vancouver-Alaska on the SERENADE. This is our first cruise and we would be extremely happy if somebody could help us in choosing the right cabin We are thinking of a balcony-cabin, but don't know if it should be on a high desk or a lower one - in the back or front of the ship, and what other issues we have to consider. I have read many chat-messages, but i am still quite confused about which choice is the best.

Hi chrichianti and welcome to Cruise-Chat!

Taking Serenade of the Seas to Alaska will be a wonderful trip, and a great first cruise.

You can't get a balcony cabin too low on the ship, as I believe they start on Deck 7. Some of the rooms at the very back of the ship have larger balconies. Since you'll be sailing on smooth waters in Alaska, taking a room at the back won't present a problem with motion. I have not sailed on Serenade, so I hope someone who has done so will give you more complete advice.
