Explorer of Seas- ?? about Balconies

Are the balconies rails or plexiglass? We are traveling with a crawling toddler. Just nervous about safety. We are going to be on Deck 8 if this makes a difference.

As long as you have a side room you should have plexiglass. Only the rooms on the stern do not in my best assumption from looking at pics from another web site.
