Ocho Rios Beaches?

Does anyone know if there are any nice/safe beaches nearby where the ship docks in Ocho Rios? We are going on an excursion in the morning, but were hoping to hang out at a nearby beach afterward. There won't be tons of time to do so, so I was hoping for one close-by.

Jodie, I choose an upscale hotel that advertises private beaches. Less people trying to buy things....I will go to the concierge in a professional manner, offer to pay for a chair rental....BEWARE no Cruise Line adverising on you, leave the T-shirts, plastic laundry bags from RCCL...look like any person from the hotel, tourist who spends money. I order a drink and TIP, and I always seem welcome.
