Going on our second RCI cruise. Does anybody know if you get a discount because you’ve been a prior cruise goer? I know they offer discounts when you book another cruise while on a cruise. I booked through a TA, and she didn't say anything, and I gave her our Crown & Anchor Membership #'s. But someone told me you get a $125 discount. I haven't heard this, if this is true, can someone tell me what I need to do to obtain this? So far no coupon discount via the RCI Crown & Anchor magazine. Possibly no discount for our cruise, Freedom of the Seas (Thanksgiving week 2006). But any info you can give would be appreciated. Thanks!
Giving your TA your Crown & Anchor number does not mean you get an automatic discount. The crown & anchor number will let RCL know you are a past passenger and you should get some amenities on the ship for being a past passenger. For example a coupon book in your room with discounts for a spa treatment, casino match play, buy 1 get 1 drink. You may get a canvas travel bag, and invited to a repeater party. There are different amenities for the different levels of Crown & Anchor. The Crown & Anchor magazine often has discount coupons. Buy they are for specific ships on specific dates. It is highly unlikely there will be any discounts on the Freedom of The Seas. Being the newest and largest ship everyone wants to sail on her. RCL does not have to offer any special discounts to get people to book her right now.
Your friend was probably referring to the coupons in the C&A magazine. I got $125 off my 4/21 Empress cruise - but that was in the magazine. Great Deal
Have fun! Also, I doubt they'll be giving many coupons out for Freedom, as it's their brand new ship.
