First timers on RCI. Second cruise through Panama Canal.
We've been on 19 cruises and several other lines including Celebrity, NCL, Sitmar, Princess, Holland America, etc.

Food quality: poor to average--even veteran RCI cruisers noticed it.
Entertainment: utterly boring and substandard--many nights the "That's Entertainment" showroom was half empty.
Prices: Drink prices and photographs taken onboard were overpriced--veteran cruisers on RCI said they had been raised since last year.

Embarkation: exceptionally smooth
Tendering: a fiasco in 'not getting the act togeher'
Disembarkation: free-for-all departure caused delays to the airport.

Highlights: Pursers were exceptionally courteous and helpful (not the norm from our past cruise experiences); GREATEST waiter on the ship: Christopher Pino (India).

Most annoying situation: a used-to-be operatic tenor "Renalto" singing whenever and wherever to vie for attention and hawked his CDs for cash reduced prices on the pool deck.

Next cruise: definitely not on RCI...perhaps upcaling to Crystal cruises.

Cruise travel is where friendships are made and memories are cherished
