hi does anyone have any tips for settling your account. We have a british credit card so when we validate it in board i think someone said our costs will be charged in pounds. Is it more costly to do it this way or should we opt to pay in dollars or pay in cash?

This one sounds a little like which weighs more-a pound of steel or a pound of feathers? I would think that whatever your expenses are, wouldn't your credit card only charge you for the actual amount, be it in dollars, or pounds? I would think that whatever the pound equalivent of a dollar amount would be what your credit card would charge you. I don't remember what the exchange rate is, but you could pay cash, and use the credit card as a back up, I believe.

Hi marblecupid

I think it depends on the exchange rate. If its in you favor then by all means pay in cash (US dollars). The cruise line will insist on it up front and that will be your limit on the seapass. However you can give more cash along the way. But either way you will have to get the cash so the exchange thing is still there I think. Welcome to cruise-chat.
