There are lots of posts about the food on the ship that do not sound very enticing. Receint cruisers... What were your favs?
Also... any smokers out there that have cruised this ship? How much of a hassle is it to feed the habit?
Don't take reports of poor food too seriously. People love to post complaints but will often remain silent when everything was great. I've found the food on RCI ships is usually consistent from ship-to-ship and it is well prepared and good. I had an excellent lamb shank for dinner on RCI recently.
I've been on 21 cruises and have never really had a BAD meal...of course some weren't as good as I would have liked it, but most people don't eat this well at home....and of course, some people are VERY picky and think they should have 5 star meals every night.....there are so many different food choices that are offered between the restaurants and the buffet, that you won't go hungry...and you will put on a few extra pounds....Just go and have a smashing good time...
That is a great point, Bob. Speaking for myself, I never have a salad, soup, appetizer, entree, dessert, meal at home....even for holidays at least two of those courses are missing!
Dave, I agree with you, we have been satisfied for the most part will the food served on both RCL and Celebrity...I too was very pleased with the lamb shanks when it was subsituted for the usual rack of lamb; it was yummy.
I have never had a dinner I felt would warrant a complaint. I also went into the dining room with the perspective that almost 4000 people were being fed (on the Voyager class) and with that in mind I thought my feels were fabulous!

I recently sailed on Enchantment of the Seas and found the food to be quite good. In regards to their somoking policy, smoking in the designated areas is fine but you must pay attention to where they are and find them as they are strict about the policy. I was accused of smoking in my room as they found clipped filters in trash pail. This was because I abided by their save the waves policy and did not throw butts overboard. Housekeeping supervisor stated she found ashes in my room and when confronted stated she had been misinformed. So I suggest if you have one of those personal ashtrays that seal take it along as ashtrays are distant and few. Enjoy your cruise
